It is with great pleasure that we recommend Mr. Eddie Duff of Cloverleaf Builders as general contractor. Mr. Duff recently completed a comprehensive renovation of our newly acquired condominium unit located in Coal Harbour. The scope of work was significant and multifaceted, involving the complete demolition and subsequent remodeling of both the kitchen and two bathrooms plus replacement and redesign of our gas fireplace with Dekton surround, alongside the replacement and addition of custom cabinetry throughout the unit. Throughout this extensive project, Mr. Duff demonstrated not only exceptional professionalism and a thorough wide-ranging knowledge and expertise with regard to all aspects of the renovation itself – underpinned by frequent consultations with our interior designer and scrupulous attention to the design plans – but also a full familiarity with processes for securing the required City and Trade building permits. He further took the time to become fully apprised of, and then carefully to adhere to, the array of strata regulations for the building complex in general. We were particularly impressed by his and his team’s ability to work seamlessly and cordially with the existing strata and concierge staff, developing a mutual appreciation and rapport that made the entire process considerably smoother. Our head concierge frequently sang their praises and at one point mentioned to us that that overall Eddie and team were the most pleasant and circumspect he had worked with in his many years in the building. The tradespeople Mr. Duff brought with him were highly accomplished, excelling in their given specialties. He personally supervised all stages of the renovation across the trades from demolition onward, with special attention given to those aspects requiring more meticulous aesthetic oversight, such as the installation of cabinetry and stonework, ensuring the highest level of workmanship in the finished product. We were also especially appreciative of Mr. Duff’s diligence on a daily basis in keeping us informed of progress on all key aspects of the work and ensuring that detailed decisions on issues arising were always made with our input. Overall, beyond his administrative and managerial capabilities, Mr. Duff brings a rare and highly gratifying level of artistic attentiveness to detail in all aspects of his work, whether in supervising the work of others, or in his own specializations such as in tiling and silicone finishing, which brought the completed cabinetry and stonework aesthetically to very fine levels of precision. In summary, Mr. Duff is a gifted, widely knowledgeable and astutely discerning contractor whose vision is matched by his technical skill and commitment to detail. He was a genuine pleasure to work with throughout the entire renovation. We are thoroughly satisfied with the outcome and highly recommend Eddie Duff to any potential client.
